Jesus’ Calling Culminated in the Cross

The Cross is the only way to God, the only way to know Him, the only way into His presence.

No matter how good you and I are, we all fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:9-12).

God is holy. To have fellowship with God, now and eternally, we must be cleansed of all our unrighteousness. We can not do that ourselves. God sent His only Son, His perfect sinless Son, to die in our place for our sins. He exchanged places with us and took the punishment for all our wrongs. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God (I Corinthians 5:21).

It is on the Cross that God’s perfect justice and loving mercy met and were satisfied… by HIS grace! And whoever believes in Him shall never die and will live in His presence forever (paraphrase of John 3:16).

His finished work on the Cross – His amazing priceless gift of grace to each of us – if we will take it, costs us NOTHING. It cost Jesus EVERYTHING.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – to not by works, so that no one can boast (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Have you received this gift? Will you, if you have not, just receive it by just trusting in Jesus and His death on the Cross in your place. Be set free to enjoy – today and forever – the actual presence of the God who created you? NOTHING, NO ONE is more satisfying!

What difference DOES the Cross of Christ make in your life? What difference does the Cross make in the way you relate to yourself and to others, in the way you relate to God?
